About Min

I have moved uncountable times and have made a lot of changes in my life. I have always sought improvement, and every change has brought me to a more positive life with improved personal skills. Often, I gave up the comfort I had to start a new life again , in a new world, and growing in new culture. I was born in Shenyang, in Northeast China, graduated from college and worked there for three years as an engineer. In 1989, two months before the reunification of East and West Germany I took a week long trip by train, across Mongolia and Russia, until I arrived in East Germany. I started my second life in Germany with zero German and zero money. During the ten years I lived in Germany, I taught myself the language, studied further engineering at the masters level, and worked hard to earn the money for the living expenses. I met my husband in Berlin University and gave birth to two daughters in Berlin and Munich, respectively. In 2000, I moved with my family to Bay Area, California and developed a passion for the Real Estate market and began a career in Real Estate.  End of June 2006 I came to Fort Collins/Loveland area for the first time of my life and decided to move again in 4 days. I bought a house in Fort Collins in two weeks and moved to Colorado with my whole family in five weeks. I have lived in many cities and have made a lot of friends over the years and in all the areas I have worked.  I have never feared moving, since I like the challenge living in a new world and I like to make more friends with different backgrounds.  I am also very interested in learning other languages. Besides Mandarin I also speak English and German fluently and I am now learning my fourth and fifth languages, Spanish and French.

I will be happy to use my knowledge in real estate, and I will draw from my real life experiences, to help you move forward with your dreams and make your move less stressful.

Dear Prospective Seller:
My husband and I recently contracted with Min Meisel of Coldwell Banker for the sale of our Sunnyvale home. To select a realtor, I:
     -  did a web search for real estate agents in the area
     - went on a drive across town to see which companies were dominant
     - spoke to friends and coworkers to get referrals.
I ended up "interviewing" three agents: an agent affiliated with a big company and recommended by a co-worker, an independent agent found on the web, and Min (who, in addition to being known to me through Cherry Chase School, works for the largest real estate company in the area, and lives in the community). I went with Min because she has a lot of energy around her career (without the pushy personality of the used-car salesmen types) and because she had a huge amount of Coldwell Banker resources behind her.
I found along the way that Min has an eye to the detail that makes a good listing, a clean contract, and a deal that sticks. She used every tool that Coldwell has: web, direct mail, fliers, video tour, etc. and she knew who to point them at: those using the area schools but in rental housing, the Asian and European communities … She attracted a flood of brokers to the house for a broker "tour" and worked the phone unceasingly to ensure our open house was well attended.
We were astounded by the amount of interest in the house her marketing generated and are sure that this is what brought us numerous offers to choose from. Our house sold very quickly. It was also clear that she has the respect of her peers, as most brokers followed her offer packaging advice and almost all came to her office to present their offer at our convenience.
Min gave us advice at every stage, but allowed us the control of the process that we needed. She pushed us hard in preparing the house so that we could maximize our return but was always professional about respecting our choices (and privacy limits). At any time that she could not answer a question, she tapped into Coldwell Banker's deep expertise and got the answer (often, by phone, on-the-spot).
We are in escrow now, pleased with the offer package we accepted. It is a credit to Min's hard work and attention to detail.
